May 5th 2005 @Road Incorporated, a provider of mobile resource
management (MRM) solutions which help companies manage and improve
productivity among their mobile workers, reported 1st quarter 2005
revenue of $20 million. This compares to revenue of $18 million in the
1st quarter of 2004. Net loss for the quarter on a GAAP basis was $7.4
million or 13 cents per share. The loss included $6.1 million in
in-process research and development costs and amortization charges
associated with an acquisition completed during the quarter.
In
October 2004 @Road announced that it was selected to provide it's
mobile resource management solutions for up to 35,000 SBC
Communications field service technicians. The company expects the
majority of these deployments to occur in the 2nd half of 2005. In 2004
the company's largest customer was Verizon which accounted for 17% of
revenue. There were no other customers that accounted for more than 10%
of total revenue. @Road provides it's services to customers within the
U.S. and Canada. For the 2nd quarter of 2005 the company expects
$20-$21 million in revenue. Current consensus estimates call for a loss
of 5 cents per share for the 2nd quarter.
@Road has cash and investments worth $110.7
million or $1.83 per share. Book value is $1.65 per share and the
company carries no bank debt. At the current level the stock has a
price-to-sales ratio of 2 and a price-to-book ratio of 1.6.
At the bottom of the 1 year chart below there
is a Relative Strength Index (RSI). In June the stock price made a low
which was lower than the May low. However the RSI did not make a lower
low in June which is a bullish technical divergence. Looking at the
chart you can see that the stock has traded below it's 50 day moving
average for the past 5 months. TSP is recommending the stock as it
crosses above it's 50 day moving average at $2.80 on volume of at least
50,000 shares.
